hotel de crillon paris
The Hôtel de Crillon in Paris is one of the oldest luxury hotels in the world. The hotel is located at the foot of the Champs-Élysées and is one of two identical stone palaces on the Place de la Concorde. The Crillon has 103 guest rooms and 44 suites.

The building that is now the Crillon was constructed in 1758 after King Louis XV commissioned the architect Jaques-Ange Gabriel to build two palaces in what would become the Place de Concorde. The two identical buildings, separated by the rue Royale, were initially designed to be government offices of the French state. The eastern building remains to this day the headquarters of the French Navy, the Royale. The northern building that would become the Crillon was first occupied by Louis Marie Augustin, Duke of Aurmont, a famous patron of the French Arts. The building was further enhanced by its second owner, the architect Louis-Francois Trouard, who had the Salon de Aigles built in 1775.

On February 6, 1778, the building was used as the venue for the official signing of the first treaties between the newly-founded United States and France. Americans Benjamin Franklin, Silas Deane and Arthur Lee met French diplomat Conrad Alexandre Gérard de Rayneval to conclude the French-American treaty that recognised the Declaration of Independence of the United States and a trade agreement.

In 1788 the Count of Crillon, François-Félix-Dorothee Berton des Balbes, acquired the building for his home. But it was confiscated shortly thereafter by the government of the French Revolution in 1791. Two years later King Louis XVI was guillotined in the Place de la Concorde directly in front of the building in 1793.

Eventually the building was returned to its owner whose descendants lived there for more than a century. In 1907, the Société du Louvre purchased the property and transformed it into a hotel. The building then underwent a two-year refurbishment under the supervision of noted architect Gabriel-Hippolyte Destailleur. Two neighbouring buildings on the rue Boissy d'Anglas were purchased to enlarge the property. The new Hotel Crillon opened on March 12, 1909.

Britney Spears home

De ja vue? Not exactly. Britney Spears may have sold more homes than you or I will ever live in, but this is the first time the $7.9 million Summit Circle home is on the market. If you can stomach the idea of living in a house that Britney Spears once graced, than consider this baller estate. The 6 bedroom 6.5 bathroom gated Italian Renaissance Villa comes with approximately 7,500 sq ft of luxury including a wet bar, library, den, chic dining room, and grand foyer. Artisan quality finishes, dramatic high ceilings, millwork, stone & mosaic tile floors and iron accents.
Chef’s kit with Viking appliances and breakfast nook that open to a spacious great room. Romantic master bedroom with fireplace and loggia. Manicured grounds including a pool, spa, arbor and lush landscape ideal for entertaining. Ms. Spear’s former home is being offered with select furnishings, accessories and art work, though we strongly reccommend you redecorate. Britney dropped $6.75 million on The Summit gated community home back in Janurary 2007
This is a beautiful house, as a home stager, you definitely need to "de'clutter" in order for perspective buyers to really see the house. There is way too much "stuff" blocking views and passage ways! Also, either your photos are showing the house too dark, or the house is actually too dark. Which ever the case may be, that too should be fixed! No wonder this house has been on the market for so long! Britney should have had her money along time ago! Surely you know you don't show a house the same way you live in one! Why is that rug in the entry hall? Show the beautiful floor, take away some of the "stuff" that is taking up space! Simple solutions, but I bet it can help sell this house!
It's baaaack. Britney Spears has flopped her home in the Summit community of Beverly Hills back on the market yet again. Spears bought the home on what appears to have been a quick impulse back in 2007 during her more manic days and she's been trying to sell off and on ever since. The home has been listed as high as $7.9 million last fall but now the six-bedroom villa is at a more realistic $6.499 million. Spears meanwhile has decamped to Calabasas when she's not on tour. The new price means that she will likely lose money on the deal, Spears bought for $6.75 million when it was on the market for $7.2 million, but I'm sure she'll be glad to be rid of the home once it finally sells,

So in March, Spears launched her come-back "Circus" tour in New Orleans, naming it after her sixth studio album, which debuted last year in the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. The tour is in London through the middle of this month. Then it will move to other places in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Britney-Spears-home.jpg In the meantime, Spears appears to be ready to sell her house, in the Beverly Hills Post Office area. The home, built in 2001, is in a gated community and has 6 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms in about 7,500 square feet. Designed with the Italian Renaissance in mind, the house has mosaic tile floors, a fireplace in the master bedroom suite, a pool and a motor court.

most expensive house in the world

most expensive house in the world

Mukesh Ambani, the fifth richest man in the world and head of the Mumbai based petrochemical giant Reliance Industries is estimated to be worth some where in the region of $43 billion. He is also the owner to-be of a 27-story skyscraper in downtown Mumbai that is to cost him colossal $2 billion!
When you’ve got so much money you have to come up with ideas on how to spend it. Exactly this happened while his wife was staying in the Mandarin Oriental in New York, back in 2005. Nita Ambani was so impressed with the interior Asian style decor that she wanted something similar for her to live in.
Her inquiries about the designer soon led to the next step; drawing up plans done with expertise by architecture firm Perkins & Will and Hirsch Bedner Associates, the designers behind the Mandarin Oriental.
What resulted from that is the world’s largest and most expensive home ever. We have covered this in a past post but wanted to deliver some updated information. Every storey Antilla’s skyscraper home will be built to a different specification. The vast variation of materials to be used in it’s build has tremendously added to its overall cost.

The 12-bedroom mansion located at the prestigious Kensington Palace Gardens has garage space for 20 cars. Michael Jackson Neverland Ranch Hollywood Celebrity Home

Michael Joseph Jackson
(August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an American recording artist, dancer, singer-songwriter, musician, and philanthropist. Referred to as the King of Pop, Jackson is recognized as the most successful entertainer of all time by Guinness World Records. His contribution to music, dance, and fashion, along with a much-publicized personal life, made him a global figure in popular culture for over four decades. The seventh child of the Jackson family, he debuted on the professional music scene along with his brothers as a member of The Jackson 5, then the Jacksons in 1964, and began his solo career in 1971.

Jackson purchased the property from golf course entrepreneur William Bone in 1988 for a sum variously reported to be $16.5 to $30 million. It was Jackson's home and private amusement park and contained, among other things, a floral clock, numerous statues of children, and a petting zoo. The amusement park included two railroads: one 36" gauge with a steam locomotive (Crown 4-4-0, built 1973, with two coaches) and the other a 24-inch gauge amusement train ride-type); and aFerris wheelCarouselZipperOctopusPirate ShipWave Swinger, Super Slide, dragon wagon kiddie roller coaster and bumper cars

Michael Jackson was also an avid art collector. According to Yves Gautier in the book, “Michael Jackson, Backdoor to Neverland”: “Though few know about it, Michael Jackson is a voracious reader and there is a 10,000-volume library in the Neverland Ranch, that focuses on art, psychology and poetry.

Jackson said in 2005 that he would not return to the property, saying he no longer considered the ranch a home, feeling the 70 police officers had "violated" it in their searches given they did not have a search warrant.[6] In 2006, the facilities were closed and most of the staff were dismissed, with a spokesperson stating that this was the reflection of the fact that Jackson no longer lived there.

Jackson sold this property in November 2008 to Sycamore Valley Ranch Inc, a real estate company that he owned in part.

In a way, songwriting uses the same skills, creates the emotional highs and lows, but the story is a sketch. It's quicksilver. There are very few books written on the art of storytelling, how to grip listeners, how to get a group of people together and amuse them. No costumes, no makeup, no nothing, just you and your voice, and your powerful ability to take them anywhere, to transform their lives, if only for minutes." –Michael Jackson, in Moonwalk
